Did you know that our beloved Colt McCoy is only 3 wins away from the all-time collegiate record for the winningest quarterback in college football history? When you look at our remaining opponents (UCF, Baylor, Kansas and Texas A&M) he almost seems like a senior shoe-in for the record. BUT, the big question is whether this be enough for Colt to finally get what he so deserves: the Heisman Trophy? Time will tell, but if Colt does beat 3 of the remaining 4 teams – locking his (at least) 45th school record, one can’t help but to think he’d take home the bronze statue. Hook ‘em!

Congratulations to the Texas Longhorns for jumping Alabama in every major poll following their 41-14 victory over Oklahoma State. The buzz is already saying that it is going to come down to Florida and Texas for the National Championship title run. Hook ‘em!

It wasn’t a “shootout” by any means, perhaps instead more of a defensive “shutdown”. Yet, in the end, our beloved Longhorns did what had to be done to win the game! With our chief rivalry now behind us, the Texas Longhorns can now focus on the games ahead which include #16 OSU, #17 Kansas and – of course – our last conference rivalry, Texas A&M (yet, unranked this season). Hook ‘em Horns!

On a side note, we’d like to extend our thoughts and prayers to OU Quartback and defending Heisman Trophy winner, Sam Bradford. He re-injured his right shoulder during OU’s second drive of the game and did not return. Many are suspecting whether or not this is a season-ending injury. Obviously, this is not how we’d like to see our Texas Longhorns win the game, nor would we want this to be the end of Bradford’s impressive collegiate career. So, if you’re out celebrating tonight, raise a pint for a true warrior of the game and let’s hope to see him back on the field of battle very soon!
